The Tuskes Homes Office

Quick Info

Tuskes Homes is a regional home builder operating in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania and in its surrounding areas. Tuskes Homes is responsible for creating dozens of communities and building hundreds of beautiful homes throughout the region including in Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown, Nazareth, the Poconos, Center Valley, and much more.

My Role

I first joined the Tuskes team as a photography intern upon the recommendation of my photography professor. I initially had no experience photographing real estate, but my skills developed over time until I became one of the main photographers for the company. I primarily worked remotely and independently for Tuskes Homes for the better portion of five years.

Results

My time with Tuskes has been extremely productive. I photographed hundreds of homes throughout all stages of the building process, I created over 31,000 photos and marketing pieces for the company, I created a digital asset management system to catalog every asset, and I developed new creative ways to help market Tuskes Homes as one of the leading home builders in the Lehigh Valley.

From Frame to Finish

One of my primary goals for Tuskes Homes was to document homes throughout each stage of the building process. These stages often include the lot, frame, drywall, paint, near-finish, finish, landscaping.

Let There Be Motion

One of the problems that I was tasked with solving was how to further market the Tuskes Homes Design Center—a dedicated studio space that allows prospective homeowners to personalize the interior and exterior of their homes. The Tuskes team specifically wanted to highlight the variety of choices in materials. To solve this problem, my solution was to create a series of moving images and GIFs that showcased all the design choices homeowners would have when they chose to visit the studio. The following GIFs are a select sample from this series. Each GIF is designed to loop infinitely when posted to social media sites like Instagram or when used as a banner video.

In addition to the GIFs above, I also secured a stabilizing gimbal to create a series of walkthrough clips of the Tuskes Homes Design Center. These clips are meant to be used in a variety of formats and their walkthrough speeds can be adjusted as needed to suit the needs of Tuskes Homes. Featured below is a select sample of these walkthrough clips.

Getting off the Ground

In addition to my normal duties, I earned my FAA license to operate drones for commercial use. This allowed me to provide a different view of the communities that were being developed by Tuskes Homes. With my license, I was able to conduct aerial surveying jobs so the company could quickly assess the progress of the communities they were building and market their homes in a fresh, exciting way.

Expanding the Scope

During my time with Tuskes Homes, I produced a wide variety of content. The majority of this content consists of photos that focus on varying subjects. These subjects include: exteriors, aerials, interiors, in-progress construction photos, detail shots, wide shots, and community photos. All of these photos work together to market Tuskes Homes as one of the leading home builders in the Lehigh Valley.
